Where Creativity Meets Design Thinking
The Design Club by The Design Venue is a creative learning program that introduces students to the exciting world of design, innovation, and problem-solving.
Led by architects and designers, the program helps students discover how design shapes everything around us — The buildings we inhabit, the products we use, the apps we interact with, and the clothes we wear and the spaces we experience.
Through hands-on exploration and creative challenges, students learn to observe deeply, think creatively, and turn ideas into meaningful solutions.
Who The Design Club Is For
The program is designed for students from Grades 6–10 (ages 10–16) — an ideal stage to nurture creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking.
Perfect for students who:
- Enjoy drawing, building, imagining, and creating
• Are curious about how things work and how they can be improved
• Want to explore art, architecture, fashion, or design
• Love thinking differently and solving problems
No prior design experience is required — just curiosity and imagination.
The Objective of The Design Club
The Design Club aims to:
• Introduce students to the world of design and creative careers
• Develop design thinking and problem-solving skills
• Build creative confidence and self-expression
• Help students understand how design impacts everyday life
Students begin to see the world through a designer’s lens — questioning, imagining, and improving the environments around them.
Two Ways Students Can Join
Design Club in Schools
Schools can integrate The Design Club as part of their Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) or enrichment programs.
Sessions are conducted by architects and designers from The Design Venue, bringing real-world creative learning directly into the school environment.
- Conducted once a week or once a fortnight
• Scheduled according to the school timetable
• Suitable for Grades 6–10
This enables schools to offer students exposure to design, innovation, and creative thinking.
Design Club at The Design Venue
Students can also join independently at The Design Venue centres, outside school hours.
Programs include:
• Weekly Design Club sessions
• Weekend workshops
• Holiday and summer design camps
These sessions create a vibrant creative environment where students from different schools come together to learn, experiment, and collaborate.
