The NIFT entrance exam is the key to securing admission to NIFT’s prestigious programs. It is designed to assess a candidate’s creativity, aptitude, and technical skills required for a career in fashion and design. The exam consists of multiple stages:

1. Creative Ability Test (CAT): Evaluates a candidate’s intuition skill, observation ability, design ability, and innovation in design development.
2. General Ability Test (GAT): Tests the candidate’s knowledge in quantitative ability, communication ability, English comprehension, analytical ability, and general knowledge.
3. Situation Test: For B.Des candidates who qualify in the written exams, this test evaluates the candidate’s skills in handling materials and creating models.
4. Group Discussion and Personal Interview: For M.Des, M.F.M., and M.FTech candidates, this stage assesses the candidate’s aptitude, communication skills, and overall personality.

1. Creative Ability Test (CAT):

   • Duration: 2 hours

4. Group Discussion and Personal Interview:
